Don’t let the mild-mannered exterior fool you. When Scott Graham takes the stage, he doesn’t just speak, he explodes. As a TEDx speaker, he consistently WOWs the audience with his energetic, charismatic style. As Gord Deppe, lead singer of The Spoons, put it: “You feel like you have just been at a rock concert.”
Scott founded the Kids 4 Kids Leadership Program and Camp Kahuna in 1993, and for over 33 years has been their visionary owner and heart. A bestselling author, producer and sought-after international keynote speaker, he received the Meritorious Service Medal from the Governor General of Canada for his work in anti-bullying prevention.
He recently received a letter from Prime Minister Mark Carney, commending his work with children.
He holds a Certificate in Social Work with a specialty in Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment, and a B.A. in Social Development. Scott developed the leadership curriculum taught at Camp Kahuna, using discussion, object lessons and games to bring leadership concepts to life.
His mission has taken him from local classrooms to the far corners of the earth, speaking to students about leadership in Switzerland, Austria, Scotland, Greece and Ukraine, coast to coast across Canada, and into the Indigenous communities of the North.
Scott’s roots, though, are unexpected. As a kid he read at a grade-4 level in grade 7, and was diagnosed with a learning disability and ADHD. Rather than a limit, he came to understand those challenges as a gift, and turning that struggle into strength is the heart of everything he now teaches children.

The Channel 5 era
In the 1980s, Scott was the lead singer of the band Channel 5, which won the prestigious national Q107 Homegrown contest twice. Their songs “Break the Chains” and “Tell Me Why” were engineered by the renowned Paul Northfield, whose résumé includes The Police, David Bowie, Rush and Bryan Adams.
His career continued with a solo album, Little Heroes, and collaborations with Canadian rock royalty including Alan Frew of Glass Tiger and Kenny McLean of Platinum Blonde. Today Scott still writes and records new music.
