INTRODUCING THE CAMP KAHUNA FOREST CAMP
During the summer of 2024, we ran our first Kahuna day camps at our new location, Mt. Nemo Scout Camp. After running camp for two weeks, we realized the camp property was perfect for a Forest Camp. We have taken all parental feedback and the interests of our campers to create a different but incredible experience.
Our Camp Forest Program will include activities like fire and shelter building, outdoor cooking, tree and animal identification, hiking, and nature cabin exploration. We will also include our infamous Wet and Wild Event, cooperative games with a nature theme, and large camp-wide games created by our camp directors. There will still be leadership discussions and a big event like bubble soccer or laser tag each week. It will be epic.
We will bring in porta-potties with wash basins and soap. Staff will clean these daily and clean them professionally weekly.
The Kahuna nature camp will meet the high Camp Kahuna standards and exceed your expectations. We can’t wait for our campers to experience Kahuna Forest Camps 2025.

The Camp Kahuna Program (Sidrabene Location)
We combine traditional camp activities like campfires, swimming, fishing, cooperative games, and fort building with the extraordinary. Each week, we have theme days that include medieval, wacky hair, superhero and olympic days, to name just a few. We also had presentations from individuals who entertain and role-model leadership. We have had musicians, actors, sports heroes, and animal experts entertain our campers. We have different performers every year to make your child’s experience extraordinary. Please note the photos on this page represent some of our activities at past camps. They are not necessarily the activities we have every year. We are always looking for new experiences so our campers can have an incredible experience. We aim to create the best camp possible for the children and parents we serve.
Before and After Care is offered at our camp location from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, parents must pick their children up from the camp parking lot.
Safety
We strive to have an extremely safe camp environment for our campers.
We ensure our senior staff, who are eightenn yeas of age or older, have police checks and First Aid/CPR certificates.
We have lifeguards that maintain safety around the pool. Our leaders are either in the pool with our campers or are supervising on the deck. All eyes are on our campers when they are around water.
We have two camp directors who are always at camp, ensuring the campers are safe and our programs run well. Most camps have directors who travel from site to site. Our directors are at camp every day.
We have a 40-foot by 40-foot and a 40 x 60 foot canvas tent to protect our campers from the weather. We take the campers to the main building if the weather is dangerous.
We have sunscreen, and water breaks daily to ensure our campers are protected from the sun and hydrated.
My staff are trained to give your children their undivided attention. Therefore, they are not distracted by electronics.
Our staff are individuals who have a passion for working with children. Many teachers and educational assistants have experience dealing with children of all ages.
A Typical Day at Day Camp
Every week at camp is different. We have fun theme days and pack each day with events like the Kahuna Carnival, Joe-lynn: The World’s Greatest Hypnotist, Wet and Wild Day, Silly Science, and Messy Games. Each day also includes swimming, fishing, cooperative games, and leadership workshops. We want your child to have an incredible camp experience.
We love creating camp adventures for children. We pull characters from Scott Graham’s books, creating a magical camp environment. We also have theme days each week. Here is an example of a typical theme day at camp. So, as you know, this is just one example of a typical day. Each year, we change activities to ensure our campers have new experiences.
