Speaking to Ukraine

Home / Courage Tour / Speaking to Ukraine

I’m always eager to embrace new experiences, as they fuel my sense of adventure and provide valuable insights into diverse cultures and communities. Recently, I had the privilege of meeting David Falconer, an Edmonton principal dedicated to helping children in Burma, Afghanistan, and Ukraine. As a former refugee, he possesses a unique ability to connect with these kids, offering them hope and reassurance that they are not forgotten.

My journey began by speaking with a small group of children from Burma and Ukraine, sharing my personal story and the origins of Kids Kids. Later, I engaged with a group of young Ukrainian children through playful songs and storytelling. Most recently, I had the honor of addressing Ukrainian students in Kyiv, focusing on leadership development and empowering them to utilize their experiences to inspire others. I deeply appreciate these opportunities, and I find myself continually inspired by the resilience and spirit of these incredible children.
