Geneva, Switzerland

I had a fantastic experience at College Du Leman, with students from 200 countries, including children of UN delegates and royal families. During my visit, I gave five one-hour assemblies.

The first was for grade 5 students, and I connected with a young man with ADHD. In my second and third presentations to grade three students, I talked about leadership, played guitar, and told stories. The fourth presentation, for grade 7 and 8 students, focused on leadership and bullying, and we had a great discussion about racism. After the presentation, some female students wanted to take selfies with me, which was a first. I also met a boy from Italy named Leonie, who was quite a character.

My final presentation was for the teachers, and they seemed to enjoy it. The headteacher mentioned they would likely be on their phones or grading papers if they weren’t engaged. College du Leman is located just outside of Geneva in Versoix. It has a beautiful campus with teachers from around the world, providing a magnificent environment for learning.
